Netanyahu visits Sandler family

Prime minister offers condolences to Eva Sandler who lost her husband, two children in Toulouse attack

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu paid a visit to the home of Eva Sandler's family in Jerusalem and offered his condolences over the death of Rabbi Jonathan Sandler, 30, and his two children, Arieh, 6, and Gabriel, 3. The three were killed in a terrorist attack on a Jewish school in Toulouse on Monday. Eight-year-old Myriam Monsonego was also killed in the attack.

After the visit, Netanyahu said he had seen the sorrow of a life cut short and shattered hope. "I thought to myself what kind of cruelty and barbarity brings a man to commit such an inhumane act."

Netanyahu added, "For these murderers any surface a Jewish steps on is occupied territory and as far as they're concerned there is nowhere in the world for Jews. They want to murder the Jews wherever they are and that is why the State of Israel was established."
