An indictment has been filed with the Tel Aviv District Court against three Eritreans
who sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl in south Tel Aviv on Independence Day.
The three, ages 18, 19 and 24, are charged with aggravated attempted rape, as well as indecent acts and aggravated robbery, despite the fact that DNA belonging to two of the defendants was found on the victim. The three were initially suspected of rape.

The three were arrested less than two weeks ago after a wide-scale investigation. According to the police, the victim and her friend had left a club in south Tel Aviv at around 4:30 am after Independence Day celebrations, when they were attacked by the suspects. Two of the suspects tried to rape the girl while the third held her friend back.
They then ripped a gold necklace off her neck and stole her friend's shirt.
It should be noted that legally judges can issue the same sentence for rape and attempted rape.
On Thursday, an indictment was filed against a Sudanese man and an Eritrean man for raping a 19-year-old girl in a parking lot near the Tel Aviv Central Bus Station.
