TA asks to close 6 beaches due to lifeguard work hour cutbacks

The Tel Aviv Municipality has asked the Interior Ministry for permission to close six of the city's 13 swimming beaches in light of the city lifeguards' request to cut their work hours as per their 2007 contract.

If the request is authorized, the Aviv, Bograshov, Gordon, Hilton, Tel Baruch and Tzuk Darom beaches will be closed starting this Thursday and remain closed until a solution is found. (Gilad Morag)
