Two of Israel's daily newspapers – the veteran Haaretz and freesheet Israel Hayom – are reportedly negotiating a deal that would see the former sell its printing facility to the latter.
The deal is said to be worth approximately NIS 100 million (roughly $25 million).

Adelson's freesheet has been intensively searching for a facility to call its own and has expressed interest in acquiring printing machinery from various sources.
At some point, Israel Hayom was looking into the possibility of bidding for the struggling daily Maariv's printing facility as well.
Haaretz is need of a cash infusion, as it recently announced it may have no choice but to lay off over 50 employees.
According to a statement quoted by Globes, Haaretz said that Israel Hayom "has not purchased the Haaretz' printing house."
