The Israeli Air Force intercepted an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle that entered Israel's airspace early Saturday morning. The UAV was shot down in an open area in the Northern Negev. IDF troops are canvassing the area in order to locate and identify remains of the aircraft, the IDF Spokespersons Unit said Saturday.
According to Palestinian reports, the UAV departed from the Gaza Strip and managed to fly over several Israeli settlements and bases in southern Israel, including the city of Beersheba. (Yoav Zitun and Elior Levy)
