VIDEO – British fashion designer John Galliano, formerly the creative director of Christian Dior, has been invited back into the fashion world, and the Anti-Defamation League has welcomed his return.
ADL National Director Abraham Foxman issued a statement forgiving the designer for his racist remarks and saying ADL “believes that individuals can change their hearts and minds as long as they demonstrate true contrition.”
Galliano was cast out of the fashion world in 2010, when he was caught on video making pro-Hitler comments and referring to gassing of Jews in concentration camps in a positive light.
He was brought to trial in France for his anti-Semitic remarks to pay a fine of $8,400.
