IDF: Career officer suspected of stealing equipment
The Military Police's fraud unit has revealed it has been investigating a career officer in the IDF's Northern Command of stealing millions of shekels worth of technologically advanced army equipment. The man, who has served in the army for more than 20 years, is suspected of taking advantage of his position to purchase computers, tablets and mobile-phones for himself and his family.
The assumption is that the man will be indicted on counts of fraud, breach of trust, tampering with tenders and fraudulently obtaining benefits. Other reservists are believed to be involved. (Yoav Zitun)
