IDF foils construction of new Palestinian outpost
Palestinian activists try building outpost in West Bank, IDF stops setting up tent, confiscates equipment; 'Palestinians own this land,' activist says

The troops took down the only tent the activists had managed to set up and stopped them from any further activities in the area.
The IDF confirmed that some 20 Palestinians tried to build an illegal outpost Friday night in south Mount Hebron, and that "Soldiers who arrived at the scene evicted the people in the outpost. The hill on which the outpost was set up was declared a closed military zone."
Activist Younis Araar said: "We came here to build a Palestinian village upon Palestinian land, and to freely use our land in the way we want as Palestinians have rights and own this land."
Last week, clashes erupted near the village of Burin, south of Nablus, after a group of Palestinians activists erected a new outpost named Al-Manatir in the area.Two Palestinian outposts that were formed last month, Bab al-Shams in E1 and Bab al-Karama near Beit Iksa north of Jerusalem, were evacuated within a few days by the IDF.
According to activists, the Palestinian outposts are constructed as part of their battle against Jewish settlements.
