According to Dr. Amnon Rofe, CEO of the Bnai Zion Medical Center, the driver, who sustained moderate injuries, is expected to stay at the hospital for a few more days. Police is guarding his hospital room.
Rofe added that the hospital was treating three other people who sustained injuries in the accident.
The truck was traveling Wednesday down the Moshe Road in Nesher and hit eight vehicles that were waiting at a traffic light. According to police investigation, the accident was caused by a malfunction in the truck's brakes.

"As soon as I heard about the deaths, I was speechless," one of the injured said, adding that "It'd be best if we wait until the driver is released from the hospital, so we can hear what he has to say and understand what happened."
