2 rockets hit open area in Eshkol Regional Council

At approximately 11 pm two rockets fired from Gaza Strip, explode in open area; no injuries or damage reported; no red alarm sounded

Two rockets were fired Thursday from the Gaza Strip and exploded in open areas in the Eshkol Regional Council.

No injuries or damage were reported. The hits were at approximately 11 pm, but no red alert was sounded.

 

Two rockets hit Eilat on Wednesday, most likely launched from Sinai. No one was injured though the rockets hit residential areas. The Iron Dome in Eilat detected the launches but did not intercept the rockets.

 

On Tuesday Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon referred to the sporadic fire from the Gaza Strip and said: "Hezbollah and Hamas are armed with tens of thousands of various rockets and missiles, which they will launch at our cities and citizens when ordered to do so.

 

"Even now, and despite the achievements of the Pillar of Defense Operation, southern towns endure rocket hits. We will not tolerate such incidents and will retaliate."
