Two Syrian mortar shells land in Israeli Golan
At least two mortar shells were fired on Wednesday night from Syria into the Israeli Golan.
The Iron Dome missile defense system attempted to intercept the two shells, which caused fires in several places the Golan Heights. Firefighters were called to the scene.
Defense sources estimate this was celebratory fire from Syrian President Bashar Assad's forces, who were rejoicing at Assad's election victory. (Yoav Zitun)
