James Blunt to perform in Israel

English singer-songwriter, most famous for his 'You're Beautiful' love song, will play one concert at Tel Aviv's Nokia Arena on February 7.

English singer-songwriter James Blunt will arrive in Israel this winter for one concert at Tel Aviv's Nokia Arena, on February 7.

Blunt's performance is part of his world tour, and after visiting Israel he will head to South Africa for several shows.

Ticket prices will range from NIS 199 to NIS 789 ($52-205), depending on the seat's location.

James Blunt was born in 1974. After serving as an officer in the British Army he released, he released his first album, "Back to Bedlam," in 2004. It included songs such as "Wisemen," "High," and the hit which made him famous, "You're Beautiful."

Immediately upon its release in May 2005, "You're Beautiful" became one of the most played songs on the radio. It reached the top of the charts in the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States and Canada, and received three nominations at the 2007 Grammy Awards.

"You're Beautiful" remains Blunt's biggest hit to date, although he recently admitted that it was an "annoying" song which was "force-fed down people's throats."

In 2007, Blunt released his second album, "All the Lost Souls," which received mixed reviews and peaked at number one in more than 20 different countries.

His third album "Some Kind of Trouble," was released in 2010, followed by "Moon Landing" in 2013, which featured the hit single "Bonfire Heart."

Although he is mostly identified with sensitive and delicate ballades, Blunt involves pop rock and soft rock in his music and plays a variety of musical instruments. He has won many awards throughout his decade-long career, including Song of the Year at the MTV Music Awards and Best Pop Act and Best Male Vocalist at the BRIT awards.

He is being brought to Israel by the 3A-Productions company.
