MK Yoni Chetboun announced Sunday evening that he would not run with the Bayit Yehudi party in the upcoming elections.
"During the past two years, I realized the important of a political framework that preserves its Jewish identity and the values of the Torah in the state. A framework that does not turn away from the disadvantaged and sees the treatment of the residents of the periphery as a supreme value. A party that knows to combine these values, and sees it as a guideline and connects between the religious, Haredi and traditional, will be a political home that would be best for me."
Chetboun placed 11th on the list for the 19th Knesset and served as Deputy Speaker of the Knesset.
