'Crazy Jewish mom' knows how to text, and the results are hilarious
Kate Siegel posts her mother's most entertaining text messages on social media, and has earned herself a massive following.
Kate Siegel's mother has an iPhone - and she isn't afraid to use it.
The 26-year-old's Instagram and Facebook page, which displays her mother's most hilarious text messages, now has almost 340,000 followers, agog to hear the latest words of wisdom from New Jersey.
The messages, which cover a range of topics from Birthright to the calorie content of matzo balls, are posted on Facebook and Twitter as well as Instagram, all under the user name "Crazy Jewish Mom".
Many of Mrs. Siegel's messages take aim at her daughter's boyfriend, whom she has nicknamed SuperJew, and whose presence does not stop her from trying to set Kate up with other eligible men.
"I started this project three months ago, because my friends always laughed at my mom’s texts," Siegel told Yahoo last month. "I’m an only child so I get all my mom’s attention."
She told the website that her mother "doesn’t mind me posting about her, mostly because she doesn’t understand the Internet."
