
Famed Hollywood actor Sean Penn met with former President Shimon Peres at the Peres Center for Peace in Jaffa on Monday, as part of the actor's two day visit to Israel.
Penn has had quite the accomplished acting carrier, with skilled displays of acting and two Oscar wins, for "Mystic River," and "Milk." He has been seen less and less on the silver screen as of late after he embarked on a journey to bring forth real change in the world.
Penn arrived in Israel as a goodwill ambassador for the Haitian government, whom he has represented since the disastrous earthquake the rocked the poverty stricken country in 2008.
Penn, 55, is in Israel for a short two-day visit, and took part in an IsraAid conference aimed at helping rebuild Haiti, on Monday morning. He later visited the Peres Center for Peace in Jaffa in order to meet the former president, with whom he discussed current global political issues.
The actor was mostly known to converse with word leaders from the political left, like the former leaders of Cuba and Venezula, Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez. In Israel, Penn asked former president Peres for tips on how to make the world a better place, during their short meeting.
