An Arab was arrested on King George Street in Jerusalem after security personnel stationed nearby became suspicious when he asked if he could enter the light-rail, according to a police report.
During questioning, he claimed that he was carrying an improvised explosive device in his bag. Police checked the bag and closed off the main King George street and Jaffa street. After light-rail operations were temporarily suspended between Ammunition Hill and the central bus station all activities have now returned normal. The suspect has been taken in for questioning by the Jerusalem police.
