Maariv publisher Eli Azur testified in Netanyahu-Mozes investigation
Businessman Eli Azur has given testimony to police as part of its investigation into talks between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Yedioth Ahronoth publisher Arnon Mozes.
Azur is the publisher of The Jerusalem Post and Maariv newspapers as well as local radio stations and sports channels. He reportedly gave his testimony some two months ago.
Police suspects Netanyahu and Mozes discussed the possibility of giving the prime minister more positive coverage in the latter's newspaper in return for Netanyahu promoting legislation that would weaken rival newspaper Yisrael Hayom.
Arnon Mozes owns the Yedioth Ahronoth group, which includes Ynet and Ynetnews among others.
