The announcement comes during the investigation into the assassination of Hamas commander Mazan Fukha, whose killing has been attributed to Israel by Hamas.
Hamas' announcement against collaborators is considered especially conspicuous, given that the organization has imposed a gag order on every detail of the investigation.
The organization has locked down the Gaza Strip since the March 25th killing, prohibiting the entry and exit of all persons, with the exception of extreme humanitarian cases, and even then with age and gender restrictions.
Travel restrictions even apply to fishermen out of fear that the assassin(s) will escape to sea.
Deputy head of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, said security forces in the strip are working nonstop to identify and arrest the Fukha's killer(s).
Fukha was released from prison in 2011 as part of the Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange deal and was deported to the Gaza Strip.
After his release, Fukha returned to terrorist activities and helped found Hamas' West Bank headquarters and manage it from Gaza under the command of Saleh al-Arouri. In addition to Fukha, the operation also included Abd al-Rahman Ghanimat, another terrorist who had been released as part of the Shalit deal.
Together, the three men helped organize and conduct terror attacks against Israelis from the Gaza Strip.
