Boteach selfie with Bannon

Shmuley Boteach posts selfie featuring Steve Bannon's agenda

The famous US rabbi uploaded a selfie with White House chief strategist during Israel's Independence Day celebrations, seemingly unaware that Bannon’s to-do agenda was clearly on display, which included the words 'Tel Aviv to Jerusalem' in an apparent reference to Trump's considered embassy move.

Shmuley Boteach, a famous rabbi in the US, uploaded a selfie picture on social media this week with White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, apparently unaware that Bannon’s detailed to-do list was clearly on display in the background, which contained one item relating to Israel.

Boteach, an author and orator who calls himself “America’s Rabbi,” was visiting the White House on Tuesday during Israel’s Independence Day.

Featuring on the extensive list, which is only partially exposed, are a number of items pertaining to domestic, foreign and immigration policy. One such item includes the words “Tel aviv to Jerusalem,” which can only partially be seen.

The broken sentence is presumably a reference to President Donald Trump’s campaign pledge to move the American embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Other items featuring on Bannon's agenda included: “Immediately terminate Obama’s ‘two illegal’…,” “Suspend the Syrian refugee program,” “...defeat ISIS,” “suspend immigration from terror-prone regions,” and “Iran deal.”

Some, although not all, of the the items on Bannon’s list were ticked off.

Boteach wrote a piece in Breitbart, a far-right American news website previously headed by Bannon, the following day about his experience entitled “For Steve Bannon, Israel is on the White Board.”

In the article, Boteach said that he thanked Bannon for “his deep friendship to Israel, which he had always displayed as head of Breitbart and now as a trusted counselor to the President.”
