Iraq army starts major maneuvers with Turkish army at the border

BAGHDAD – The Iraqi army started "major maneuvers" with the Turkish army at the border, the Iraqi defense ministry said on Monday.

The two countries are coordinating measures against the autonomous Kurdish region of northern Iraq in retaliation for a non-binding independence referendum organized there on Monday.
