Iranian chief of staff: 'We're in Syria to fight common enemies'
Iranian Chief of Staff Gen. Mohammad Bagheri spoke about the Iranian presence on Syrian territory, saying, "We're in Damascus to coordinate and collaborate in the fight against our common enemies, be they the Zionists or the terrorists."
At a joint press conference with Syrian counterpart Ali Abdullah Ayyoub, Bagheri added: "We discussed ways to strengthen our relationship in the future and drew the basic outlines for said cooperation."
