Hundreds of Israeli diplomatic staff protested outside of their respective embassies and consulates around the world Wednesday. They are demanding that the delayed reforms affecting their employment status be implemented before the end of 2017.
The staff informed the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday that they refuse to sign contracts for 2018 until the reforms are implemented. The Histadrut labor union is assisting the FM employees with organizing a general strike as of January first.
