Rafi Eitan, former Knesset minister and Mossad agent behind the capture of Adolf Eichmann, expressed support for the German far-right party, Alternative for Germany, saying they have a positive attitude towards Jews.
Eitan's comments drew fierce condemnation from the Israeli Ambassador to Germany Jeremy Yissacharof who said: "It is difficult to believe that someone who caught the Nazi criminal Adolf Eichmann and brought him to justice in Israel is capable of praising German right-wing elements who value the Nazi past."
