From the battlefields of Iraq to Dahiya in Beirut: Ron Ben-Yishai's career

2018 Israel Prize laureate Ron Ben-Yishai, Ynet’s military correspondent and a veteran of the Six-Day War and the Yom Kippur War, served as a journalist for many years in some of the world’s hottest war zones including Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Kosovo.

Ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth commentator and journalist Ron Ben-Yishai was chosen Thursday to recieve the 2018 Israel Prize in the field of culture, arts, communication and sports, to be awarded on Independence Day in April.

 

 

Ben Yishai's career over the last five decades saw him serve honorably in the 1967 Six-Day War and 1973 Yom Kippur War before going on to serve as a reporter and visiting many enemy countries.
