PM Netanyahu backs Trump's decision to name Pompeo new Secretary of State

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed US President Donald Trump's decision to appoint the head of the CIA, Mike Pompeo, as the new Secretary of State, replacing ousted Rex Tillerson.

"During my meetings with Pompeo I was very impressed with his abilities and experience. I believe that in his role as Secretary of State we will also work very well together," Netanyahu said.
