Israeli websites hacked: 'Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine'

Website homepage replaced with photo from Gaza clashes, with text in Arabic saying 'We won't forget our fallen' accompanied by the sounds of a muezzin; sites hacked include those of Teachers' Associate, municipalities, hospital.

Hackers gained access to several Israeli websites on Tuesday evening, including the site of the Israel Teachers' Union.

 

 

The websites' homepage was replaced with a photo taken during the clashes on the Gaza border on Friday, along with the text "Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine" in English and the sounds of a muezzin, as well as text in Arabic saying "We won't forget our fallen."

Other sites hacked include the municipalities of Kfar Saba, Herzliya, Eilat, Acre and the Gan Yavne Regional Council, the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center's website and the Israeli Opera website.

 

The Teachers' Union said the matter was being examined by Daronet Internet Solutions, the company that operates and secures their website.
