Chief Rabbi Yosef: 'We have moral obligation to act against Syrian massacre'

Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef called Sunday for the Israeli government to act to cease Syrian regime attacks against rebel groups after 49 people killed in an alleged chemical chemical attack on the outskirts of Damascus.

"A cruel murder of women and children with weapons of mass destruction is taking place in Syria. As Jews that went through genocide and that are a light unto the nations, our moral duty is to try to prevent the massacre," he proclaimed.
