Israeli Arab who planned to carry out attack in US embassy sentenced to 2 years

The Haifa District Court sentenced Mohammad Agbaria, 22, from the northern Israeli-Arab village of Mushrifa to two years in prison.

 

Agbaria was convicted as part of a plea agreement, in which he admitted to training or instruction in terror.

 

Agbaria, who identified with the Islamic State and its aims, visited websites instructing on the creation of Molotov cocktails and explosive devices, with the intent being to carry out an attack in the American Embassy once it is transferred to Jerusalem.

 

In addition to the jail term, Agbaria was given a nine month suspended sentence as well as a NIS 10,000 fine.
