21 arrested during Haifa protest in solidarity with Gaza
Protesters try to block road and arrested for disturbing the public order Friday night; video shows demonstrators clashing with police; more rallies expected Saturday.
Police arrested 21 people in Haifa on Friday night during a protest in solidarity with Gaza.
According to the police, during the demonstration on Natanzon Street, some of the participants tried to block roads and "large police forces that were prepared in advance limited the disruption to daily routine and traffic."
Videos from the demonstration showed some of the protesters confronting with police, and the 21 detained face charges of disrupting the public order.
Several protests are expected to take place on Saturday as well.
