IPBC will not be split in order to keep Eurovision 2019 in Israel
Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit said on Tuesday during a meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, that the law splitting the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation “Kan” from its news division would hurt the Eurovision.
In light of that, it was agreed during the meeting, which was also attended by Communications Minister Ayoob Kara and Culture Minister Miri Regev, the necessary action will be taken to rectify the legislation on the issue.
