Jason Greenblatt: Israel deserve 'special commendation' for White Helmets operation

US envoy to the Middle East Jason Greenblatt praised Israel for its daring White Helmets activists evacuation operation.

"Following a request from the US and other allied leaders, last night Israel conducted a daring humanitarian rescue from Syria of hundreds of “White Helmets” personnel and their families and transferred them safely to Jordan," Greenblatt wrote.

"The Israel Defense Forces deserve special commendation for this— they managed to pull this operation together quickly and were focused on saving as many people as possible. Thank you as well to the Government of Jordan for their efforts," the US envoy added.
