National Insurance Institute may go bankrupt in 19 years

The National Insurance Institute is expected to have an ongoing excessive deficit in four years and could go bankrupt in 2037, eight years earlier than expected, according to the previous actuarial report presented by Labor, Social Affairs and Social Services Minister Haim Katz at a meeting of the Likud ministers' forum.

Minister Katz suggested transforming the National Insurance Institute into a self-sufficient independent institution.
