Rivlin visits Denmark: 'you saved the Jews in WW2'

President Reuven Rivlin launched his visit to Denmark Wednesday by placing a wreath in the memorial of the Danish underground movement which headed the rescue operation of the Jews in the Second World War.

"They saved the Jews in Denmark with determination and we appreciate it today as well," the president said in a meeting with a Holocaust survivor.

Later during the day, Rivlin and his wife visited the royal palace for a personal meeting with the Queen of Denmark, Margaret II.
