Officials assume: Bennett and Shaked to resign

Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked and Education Minister Naftali Bennett are thought to announce their resignation on their Monday public statement, following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to take on the defence portfolio despite Bennet’s request to be appointed.

“If they give in (to Netanyahu’s decision), it will be total capitulation,” said a source.

The possible resignation means the disbanding of the government and general elections.
