German official: Submarine deal was never in danger of collapsing

A member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the German Bundestag, Roderich Kiesewetter said Thursday that the controversial submarine deal between Israel and German shipbuilder ThyssenKrupp was never in danger of collapsing despite various media reports.

“The only way the deal would have been in danger is if Israel asked to cancel it,” he stressed.
