Russia to Israel: End airstrikes in Syria
Russia is demanding that Israel end its airstrikes on targets in Syria, calling them "arbitrary attacks on a sovereign state."
The call, made via Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, comes two days after Israel struck a series of Iranian military and intelligence targets in response to a rocket strike on the Golan Heights.
"The practice of Israel's arbitrary attacks on a sovereign state, in this case Syria, should stop," Zakharova said.
