Dozens of headstones vandalized at Manchester Jewish cemetery

Close to 70 headstones have been vandalized at Urmston Jewish Cemetery in northern British city of Manchester.

The Manchester Evening News newspaper said that the vandalism occured in "a spate of attacks" at the site, causing damage of up to £50,000 (approx. $64,000).

Police are treating the attacks, the most recent of which occurred over the weekend, as hate crimes, the paper said.
