U.S President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that his public support in Israel is so great, that the Israeli public would have probably elected him prime minister ahead of premiership hopefuls Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Blue and White leader MK Benny Gantz.
"Ninety-eight percent support me, with what happens there I can become prime minister in Israel, " said Trump in a speech in New York to supporters from the ultra-Orthodox community. "What kind of election system is there in Israel? Netanyahu and everyone there are fighting between themselves. We have fights of a different kind, but at least we know who's the boss. So many elections over there, and no one is elected".
