Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv, the spiritual leader of the Lithuanian stream of ultra-Orthodox Judaism, approved a compromise regarding the matter of conversion that will pave the United Torah Judaism party's way into Benjamin Netanyahu's government.
