Kibbutz Eilot agrees to take in 30 Sudanese refugees

Kibbutz Eilot, near the southern town of Eilat has agreed to take in approximately 30 Sudanese refugees who have nowhere to stay. The Omer regional council sent the refugees to Eilat, however the mayor of Eilat, Meir Yitzhak Halevi, said that he would not allow them to enter the city.
Kibbutz Eilot has agreed to take the refugees in. They will be put up at the Nof Eilot guest house on mattresses provided by Magic Sunrise Hotel. They will be integrated at various jobs on the kibbutz and at hotels in Eilat. (Ahuva Mamos)
