The IDF said it received a report of gunfire in the Nablus-Jenin area and an investigation has been launched.
Palestinians said Zakaria Daragmeh, 37, was fired at by IDF soldiers. Daragmeh drove Palestinians from the checkpoint to Nablus' city center and back.

Daragmeh arrived at the checkpoint at around 6.30 p.m. and failed to pull over within the distance set by soldiers who then opened fire.
His body was taken to a Nablus hospital where he was declared dead. Palestinians at the checkpoint clashed with IDF soldiers after the incident. Soldiers used stun grenades and teargas grenades to repel the Palestinians.
B'Tselm, the Israeli Information Center for Human Rights, demanded the military police launch an investigation into the incident saying Daragmeh was unarmed and posed no threat to the soldiers.
At the beginning of the week, a Palestinian woman was killed during an IDF raid of a Tul Karem house. The woman, 45-year-old Itaf Zlat, was reportedly killed after soldiers opened fire at the house, where wanted terror suspects were hiding. Her two daughters were injured during the operation.
