Three Qassam rockets were fired Thursday morning at the town of Sderot. One of the rockets landed in an open area near the local high school, one fell near the Nir-Am junction and the third rocket hit close to Ibbim Junction. No injuries were reported in the attack.

A resident of the area told Ynet: "We heard a loud blast and the rocket landed in a field close to the school. A tractor was passing in
the area at the time of the strike, and it's a miracle the driver was not hurt."

The Red Dawn alert system identified the rocket fire this morning, but residents said that the system has not been functioning properly lately, claiming they have already complained several time to the authorities about this. Municipal officials said that the system is set to be upgraded in the near future.

A Qassam hit the house of foreign workers located at the entrance to one of the Western Negev's communities two days ago. a Thai worker who was at the place when the rocket hit has been moderately injured.
