Margalit Tzanani gets 6 months of community service
Singer convicted of extortion as part of plea bargain to perform community work at Bnei Akiva ulpana
Singer Margalit Tzanani will serve six months of community service at the Bnei Akiva ulpana, The Tel Aviv District Court ruled on Sunday.
Earlier, the singer faced the judges and sought the court's mercy. "I have nothing much to say," she said. "I am very sorry I ended up where I did and I greatly hope the honorable judge will judge me fairly."

Last month, Tzanani was convicted of extortion as part of a plea bargain that prevented her from serving any jail time.
The plea, which excluded the original charge of conspiracy to commit a crime, was accepted by the Tel Aviv District Court.
According to the indictment, Tzanani conspired with Hazan and a third person to blackmail her talent agent, Assaf Atedgi. Tzanani allegedly enlisted the senior crime bosses to aid her in return for helping them gain a foothold in the entertainment industry.
