The two men arrived at the station overnight Sunday to visit the detained brother of the Hod Hasharon resident. At some point they allegedly detached a television screen from a wall in the hallway. Officers who noticed that the TV was missing eventually found it hidden. They immediately suspected the two young men, who denied the allegations during questioning. There is no footage of the theft because the hallway is not monitored by a security camera.

During the arraignment hearing at the Tel Aviv Magistrates' Court on Sunday, the police representative said, "This is a very severe case because the suspects took the liberty to try and steal a television set from a police station."

Judge Yitzhak Yitzhak extended the suspects' remand by three days.

Attorney Shai Tovim, who represents the suspect from Hod Hasharon, filed an appeal with the Tel Aviv District Court against the decision to keep his client in custody. In turn, the court ruled that the suspect would be held for only one additional day.
