Israeli construction and infrastructure company wins $580 million bid to rebuild 84-kilometer road connecting cities of Ibadan, Shagamu
Israeli construction and infrastructure company Shikun & Binui has won a bid to widen a highway in Nigeria in a project valued at some $580 million.
The project, which will be performed by Shikun & Binui's subsidiary, Solel Boneh Infrastructure, includes rebuilding, paving and widening an 84-kilometer (52-mile) road connecting the cities of Ibadan and Shagamu.
The road work is expected to take about four years, and will begin once the Nigerian government settles the project funding.
Shikun & Binui is owned by businesswoman Shari Arison. Ofer Kotler serves as the company's chief executive officer.
