A 40-year-old resident of southern Israel employed at a sensitive security facility
was arrested Tuesday on suspicion he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl from central Israel.
It is suspected the man met the girl in an online chat room and exchanged messages of a sexual
nature with her for an extended period of time.
The Petah Tikva
Magistrates' Court extended his remand by six days on Wednesday.
Judge Smadar Kolander placed a gag order on the suspect's identity and place of work following a motion by his employers.
It is believed that the suspect performed indecent acts and sodomized the girl last week at her house while her parents were away.
The girl later filed a complaint with Tayibe
police which identified the man using information taken from the girl's computer.
Police said the suspect
linked himself to the case. They are now checking his computer for possible contacts with other girls.
