Report: Woman suspected of murdering children is pregnant
Ynet learns that Karina Bril, suspected of murdering her two children was pregnant before children killed, still pregnant. Committee to determine whether child will stay with her until age of two. Psychiatric evaluation notes she is fit to face trial
Karina Bril,
the woman suspected of killing her two children, Igor, 7, and Mira, 5, in Jerusalem,
is pregnant and was pregnant during the murder, Ynet learned Tuesday.
A committee of the Israel Prison service is expected to convene after Bril gives birth to decide whether the baby can stay with her.

According to protocol, a committee consults with welfare services to ascertain whether a mother is fit to tend to a baby, and if she is, the baby stays with her until the age of two.
Last week, a psychiatrist determined that Bril was fit to stand trial and be held accountable for her actions.
According to the psychiatrist, Bril's testimony regarding the murder was clear and could attest to an awareness of her state and motives. The psychiatrist added that though she was depressed and suicidal, she was cooperating with her attorney and had realized the consequences of her actions.
She was not undergoing a psychotic episode during the murder, the psychiatric evaluation determined, despite the fact that she had testified to have heard men's voices telling her "this is the end." The fact that she did not hear those voices before or after the murder indicates she was aware of the fact that she was committing a crime, the evaluation noted.
