During questioning the man said he "unleashed" a dog from a yard near his home and killed it. The dog's body was found to belong to one of the stabber's neighbors. The man failed to provide a motive to the killing.
The two dogs that he himself kept were taken from his home by Jerusalem municipal workers.
David, the slain dog's owner said, "He unleashed this oh so good dog and just stabbed her. We had her for five years. My daughter is devastated, the kids are in pain, it's like a family member was murdered. I would see him walking his dogs, he was strange, but I never imagined he would do such a thing."
