Trump and her daughter

Ivanka Trump posts photo making hamentaschen

One of Judaism's most famous converts shares a picture on social media with her children preparing for Purim on Sunday.

Ivanka Trump, the wife of Senior Advisor to the President of the United States Jared Kushner, posted pictures to social media on Saturday of her making traditional Purim pastries with her two children before the Jewish holiday on Sunday.

Daughter to the American president, Trump converted to Judaism in July 2009 before her marriage to Kushner to be of the same faith. She chose the Hebrew name of Yael for herself, meaning "ibex," a kind of mountain goat.

Two days before posting the picture of her making hamentaschen with her children, Trump posted to Instagram a quote by the late Israeli Prime Minister, Golda Meir. The post was a quote for International Women's Day that read "Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement."

In November, two days before the US presidential elections, Trump visited the grave of the Lubavitcher Rebbe in New York, where she said a prayer.
