"We treated the sister at the scene and evacuated her to the Rabin Medical Center in Petah Tikva," said Eyal Schneider, one of the paramedics. The sister, a resident of Or Yehuda, was released from the hospital a short while later.
Investigators from the Mesubim police station are looking into the incident and are trying to track down the brother. They said the incident was a result of a long-standing dispute between the two.
Last week new details surfaced regarding an acid attack in Nazareth. During a remand hearing for one of the suspects, police said the 16-year-old girl who was attacked last month was sexually abused and raped by the two suspects for months and perhaps even longer.
One of the suspects is a Nazareth resident in his 50s who allegedly attacked her with acid because she refused to marry his relative. The second suspect is a 16-year-old boy.
The young girl sustained injuries to her eyes and throat. She was hospitalized in serious condition at the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa and doctors are still fighting to save her sight.
